Connie and I mainly stroll the beach, enjoying the sites and sounds. However, if you are a child there are adventures on the beach. There are birds to chase, water to splash in, waves to run from, sand for castles, and much much more.

Following is an article with Seven Essential Tips for your Next Family Trip. Also, a link has been included for today’s photo saved on Flickr with the caption A family enjoying the beach at Seabrook Island in South Carolina.

Today’s photo show homes which have an ocean view and are a short walk to the beach. The board walk provides public access to the beach and an interesting walk through the marsh.

Today is theme day and the City Daily Photo community chose “your Covid reponse”. We are sharing a selfie taken at Pelicans Nest. This was actually our first dine-in restaurant experience in seven months. As you can see the seating was outdoors, social distancing was practices, and mask were required (except when drinking and eating). We had a blast.

Please visit others who contributed to the theme day at CDP October Gallery – Your Covid-19 Response.

pirates conquest

The sign says “Pirates Conquest”. This house sits one block from the beach with easy access via a boardwalk. Notice that the house is elevated with shutters which can be opened on the ground level when a hurricane threatens.

Notice that the house also has a swimming pool.

Many on of the homes, on Seabrook Island, are available for vacation rental. Following is a link that highlights vacation rentals on Seabrook. Also, I am including a link to today’s photo saved on Flickr with the caption The Pirate Conquest is just a short walk to the beach.

jogger in orange

Today’s photo shows a jogger dressed in orange at the beach on Seabrook Island. Interestingly, as beautiful as Seabrook is, there are a limited number of colors. Most landscaping is natural so most scenes are green, blue, and sand. As a result touches of color catch my eye.

Connie and I stroll the beach each day for exercise and to enjoy nature. The sounds of the waves and the birds are very relaxing.

taking flight

Today, Seabrook Island Daily Photo takes flight. As part of the City Daily Photo community we will share photos of our life on Seabrook Island.

Note that, during the pandemic, where we live has become a complex subject. We are selling a condo in Charlotte where we have historically published Charlotte Daily Photo, we live in Lexington SC with our daughter and grandson, and we plan to spend a portion of our time on Seabrook Island for the next several months. We also have a history with Greenville SC where we published Greenville Daily Photo for 10+ years.
