My wife asked for a sandy beach photo she can use as a print for a coffee table tray. I took several but none were just right. The most challenging request was to have the photo be mostly sand and only a little water or sky. While trying to satisfy her request I realized the horizon was what allowed my camera to auto focus. I need to study my camera settings to see what sort of autofocus options exist. I’m not interesting in manual focus but I am interested to see if I can shift the focus point from the center of frame to different locations.
My research will start with the manuals for the Sony DSLR-A100. Also, a link has been included for today’s photo saved on Flickr with the caption A beach scene on Seabrook Island in South Carolina.
