The day after a gale the sun came out however there was some standing water. The streets drained well however, as the photo shows, some parking lots did not drain as well. This photo is of the High Hammock Villas a short distance from the villas where we are staying.

Seabrook Island 
When it rains here in Jeddah, it can be deadly. There is no proper drainage, so tunnels and streets flood badly. It rains so infrequently here that the occasional rain wasn’t taken into consideration as being a potential problem.
